    Important Dates

  • Notification & application window: June 3 – June 23, 2025 (11:59 PM) 

  • Fee payment deadline: June 24, 2025 

  • Correction window: June 25–26, 2025 

  • Admit card release: 1st week of July (anticipated)

  • Exam dates: July 26, 27 & 28, 2025 (CBT, 3 hours/day) 


    Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational qualification: Postgraduate (MSc or equivalent) in relevant subjects

    • Minimum marks: 55% for General/OBC, 50% for SC/ST/PwD                                            

  • Age limit
    • JRF: Upto 30 years as of July 1, 2025 (relaxations: +5 yrs SC/ST/PwD/Female, +3 yrs OBC‑NCL) 
    • Lectureship/Assistant Professor: No upper age limit 

  • Subjects covered:

    • Chemical Sciences (701)

    • Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean & Planetary Sciences (702)

    • Life Sciences (703)

    • Mathematical Sciences (704)

    • Physical Sciences (705)

  1. Register on csirnet.nta.ac.in (June 3–23) 

  2. Upload photograph, signature, degree certificate/mark sheet, ID proof, category certificate (if applicable)

  3. Pay application fee online (Debit/Credit/Net‑banking/UPI) by June 24

    • ₹1150 (General) | ₹600 (OBC‑NCL/EWS) | ₹325 (SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender) 

  4. Use June 25–26 for corrections, if needed

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT), Objective MCQs, 3 hours per day

  • Cut-off: Subject- and category-wise; announced a few weeks after exam 

  • Results: Declared on NTA official website; certificate validity: JRF – lifetime, Assistant Professorship – lifetime
